We’ve been hard at work finding great family farmers and fishermen to work with as we’ve added beef, chicken and fish to our menu. This week we’re introducing a few of them here on the Meez Kitchen Blog so you can learn more about why we’re so excited to be partnering with them.
Kim and Evans Hooks
We’re working with farmers like Kim and Evans Hooks (above, with their daughter), who farm with care and dedication to their animals and their Swainsboro, Georgia land. Evans explains, “We’re excited about raising the family here on the farm, and we think every day is Earth Day here, so we’re trying to keep greener pastures and fun days ahead.”
Their 100% grass fed and grass-finished heritage-bred beef cattle are sustainably grazed on open pastures as nature intended: free of antibiotics and growth-promoting hormones, on open land, never in feedlots.
Bell & Evans
Family owned and family operated, Bell & Evans has been raising poultry for four generations. They raise free-range chickens in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch Country. Their animals have plenty of room to move about as they choose, outdoors in the grass or indoors in a sate-of-the-art chicken house.
Their chickens are raised on an all-vegetarian, organic diet and following a strict animal welfare standard ensuring they are humanely raised and compassionately handled.
MSC Certified Fisheries
We’re partnering with fisherman who work in Marine Stewardship Council certified waters. This means they are fishing in areas that meet stringent environmental standard for sustainable fishing to ensure the health of the fish stocks and maintain the diversity of the eco system.

We’re got delicious meals like Pan Roasted Salmon & Linguine, Chimichurri Sirloin Steak and these Sweet Basil Chicken Tacos (above). And, of course, we’re continuing to offer delicious meatless recipes so you can choose the meals just right for your family.
