Meez Exclusive: Bookstore Shopping Spree

Jen here. You probably recognize my name as the company’s founder who sends you emails about all things Meez. I’m passionate about the benefits of slowing down and enjoying life, and am profoundly grateful for all the messages we’ve received from people who say Meez has made their lives a little easier and lot less hectic. People tell us they’ve used their newfound time to reconnect with their family, try a new hobby, or read a few more books a month.

I’ve taken my own advice, and have  been working on a side project of my own indulging my passion for writing. My debut novel launches this month (!), and I’m offering a special contest for all the people who have cooked with Meez over our last ten years: a chance to win a shopping spree at one of my favorite independent bookstores.

I’ll announce the winner soon. In the meantime, I hope you’ll check out my new book.

Murder in the Piazza has gotten some really lovely pre-publication reviews from Kirkus and authors who I respect enormously, and I hope that it will bring a little joy to my readers in the same way Meez brings joy our diners.

Murder in the Piazza follows Maggie White, a middle-aged American newly arrived in Rome on her husband’s expat assignment. She’s spent the last twenty years juggling career and family, but now her kids are in college and she’s been downsized from the high-powered job that gave her an identity. She thinks offering painting instruction to well-heeled travelers on a luxury tour will unlock the secret to living the dolce vita, then she discovers her boss shot dead in his penthouse. And when the police discover the dead man was blackmailing Maggie, she finds herself the prime suspect.

Available at Indiebound, Barnes & Noble, Amazon, the works.

Thank you for making Meez a part of your family and for joining me as I embark on this new journey.

Happy cooking! (And happy reading!)
